Unset the Mindset: Q&A with the Founder, Patience Modevi [Part 3]

NLP, EFT, I've never done anything like this before. Do I need any prior knowledge to get the most out of the program?

No, you don't need any prior knowledge. All you need – and that's the most important thing - is an open mind. A mind open to discovering and exploring new things and to seeing where that leads you. So, for example, EFT tapping is something that we will use, but it might not be for you, and that's fine. But that's a tool that works and gives results, so you will always have that to review, and you can revisit it at any other time. It's the same time for NLP. The way I use it is really in a way that is going to support you to rediscover yourself. It's asking questions. If we look at NLP on a basic level, it is asking questions so that you get the answers. So, again, there's nothing that will require you to go into something too complicated or technical that you can't get the benefit from it yourself.

When we look at Human Design and at your gene keys, this will be like a journey you're taking again - it’s as if I was giving you a plan, and from that plan, you just have to consider where this plan takes you. Do you really want to go there? Do you really want to try this way? We are on an explorative journey here. Therefore, don't be afraid of anything that we will try, just have an open mind.

Tell me more about the retreat.

I'd love to tell you a lot about the retreat! Unfortunately, until details are published, I won't be able to give as much detail as I want. The retreat is set up as a space where we get to really embody all the learnings that we've had and what's been happening in our lives, and really create this safe space where we can relax and be ourselves - without being judged, without being criticized, without labelling. Where we are able to take a breather.

For me, I see it as the cherry on top of having gone through the programmes. You’ve baked the cake, and you just want to put the cherry on top…and then you want to eat the cake! It’s where we will do some more hands-on work, such as somatic experiences. We will do some yoga and breath work, where we'll be able to release some things, as well as EFT tapping, journaling and some creativity. All of this in a nice, exotic place in October 2025. This gives women the time to organise childcare, set up a payment plan, or just prepare themselves so they can be there fully for themselves, celebrating their achievement and what they have created in their life. No more online stuff - we'll be able to see each other in person, interact, and nourish the sisterhood we have created. Bliss.

I've left testimonials on my website from women who have attended in the past, so do have a read of what it is that they said.

There will actually be three of us working together on the retreat. I’m the founder, but then we have Delphine. She does the somatic work; yoga, massage, breath work. l do more of the reflective work. Then you have Eva. Eva was our fabulous cook on the last retreat, but she also works with trauma related challenge. Together, we will embrace you into the retreat so that you are able to really restore and regain anything that you need in order to be able to go and live your best, authentic life.

I am nervous coming to the retreat by myself, will I be OK?

You will be more than OK! Firstly, remember that you will be able to meet all the other ladies before we go to the retreat via our group calls. Secondly, what we do is always create a space so that everybody is able to tell their story. So, we hold a circle that we call the sister circle at the beginning and end of the retreat. At the beginning, it is used to present who you are. No, we are not looking for this standard “Hi, my name is Patience, and I'm 44 years old.” No, it's not about that. It's about sharing what you are here for. It’s your opportunity to share your soulful desire of who you are.

Then at the retreat you've got space for community. The opportunity to talk whilst having lunch or breakfast or whilst we're doing an activity. But you also have time for yourself to stay in silence, to go ‘oh, you know what? I've just experienced this, let me just come back to myself,’ and then restore yourself in a way that when you come back again you are ready to meet them as the best possible version of yourself. No pressure, just peace and community.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes, we do. We are expecting the retreat details to go live in January, so from then you will be able to pay monthly. If you want to pay monthly, quarterly, in three payments, or whichever schedule works for you, you'll be able to pay in that way - no problem at all. I want it to be as accessible as possible.

If you pay in full upon booking you will benefit from a 10% discount on the retreat - it's the same for the programme too.

When it comes to refunds you can be refunded up to a month before the course begins, or up to a month before the retreat starts. After that point you will not be able to get a refund.

Why should I choose this above other programs?

This is a program that you do once, but it will serve you and re-serve you time and time again, so you will get your investment back tenfold.

It really is more than a programme. It's a guidance. It’s not a programme where you'll be told, ‘do this, do that.’ It's a programme where you'll be the one saying, ‘you know what? From this learning, this is where I'm going, and this is the season in which I am.” Let's say you're going through a season where there's quite a few challenges, there will be another way for you to revisit this programme. By revisiting it, you will then be able to say, ‘in this season of challenge, this is how it's helped me.’

Remember, life is up and down. Things will happen. There'll be times for joy, for happiness, for laughter, and unfortunately, there are also times of shock, of fear, of sadness, of grief. Why I feel like you should be doing this program more than another, is that you know that this program will be able to serve you whether times are good or bad, happy, or sad. And yes, that was a little bit of a Marvin Gaye song 😊

What is your favourite part of the programme?

I don't know the answer to this! I've been working on this program for a long time. At the end of 2020 I hosted my first programme, before I even got certified as a coach. Once I did my certification, the idea for Unset the Mindset came through and I started working on this version in 2021. I then added a lot of playfulness into it. Life is joy and enjoyment, and not just the hardship and the hurdles.

At that time, I would have said that my favoured pillar would have been dreamscapes, but to be honest with you, I also love the quest for belief, because that is where you understand a little bit more about yourself and go into this journey where you're in discovery mode. I love that journey as well.

I also love the anchoring part, purely coming from the fact that I am a coach, and as a coach, I want to see you fulfil your purpose, your goals, or your soul calling. What I love with the anchoring of the inner strength, is that I've always had a problem with the word strong and strength, because I feel like, especially for women, it is being misused and misplaced in so many ways. When I think about all the things that I've implemented into this module, I feel like it's authentic and natural. Every single day you are reminded that you are worth it. You are reminded that you can do it. You are reminded that the season you are in is not the end, and that there's something even better waiting for you. The universe has got your back.

That reminds me, there's a wonderful book by Gabrielle Burstein called The Universe Has Your Back. It’s an amazing book that you can learn a lot from.

Describe the programme in three words.

This is hard! I think I'm going to just use the pillars; beliefs, dreams, and anchors.

Thank you so much for reading this interview, and I look forward to seeing you all on the programme that is starting on the 5th of November.

If you are not able to be there for the fifth of November, it's fine, because there will be a cohort commencing at the start of every month. The next one will be on the third of December - my birthday month!

I wish you all the wonderful things that I can wish you, and I hope to see you soon. Now, remember, if ever you want to ask more questions you can email me, or you can book a call to discuss it in a little more depth. Simply click here to schedule one in.
